Mrs. Amanda Skornia truly has a great passion for Early Childhood Education and helping her students develop an inquisitive, life-long love of learning. Mrs. Skornia received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Central Methodist University and is currently in her tenth year of teaching at St. Gertrude School. As an elementary teacher, her personal philosophy of education focuses on student-centered instruction, tangible experiences, and fostering a love of reading.
Amanda currently lives in Washington with her husband Matthew. She is the proud mother of two rambunctious boys, Noah and Abe, who both attend St. Gertrude School. In her free time, Amanda enjoys reading, camping, moonlight walks, a piping hot cup of tea, advocating for the use of the Oxford comma, and spending time with her family.
